I wonder... if a robot had to be in a race what would it look like, and better yet in the clouds? Well, here is an old rickety robot being pulled apart by his floating invention and a little shocked that some steam powered contraption begins to pass it up. The piece is still a work in progress but i thought i should share what i'm working on, here in my factory of clouds. Have a good one!

Here are two master copies i turned into cards for some friends during Christmas. N.C Wyeth on the left and on the right is a piece done by Norman Rockwell. I chose these pieces to analyze there painting technique, sense of color, shape design and to gain some helpful hints.

Someone close to me suggested to do some speed paintings from the Master Claude Monet. My poor attempt was done within an hour for each painting without color picking i apologize for the colors being so off, sorry.

Speed painting from a photo taken by Fan ho who is an acclaimed photographer and film director in Hong Kong. I love all his compositions, and lighting scenarios in all of his photos, this painting took about 45min.

I should have just painted under the sun. I gave up a perfect spot for this one because it was right under the sun. Settling for this spot in the shade, the lighting was alright and i think we even had a little bit of a breeze going down this small side street. To good to be true is what i say, who would have guessed that we were right next to a bus route. It was so annoying, i think every bus in San Jose had to drive by and stop right in front of us every few minutes. Next time i am dealing with the sun.

Random series of events brought Nelson and I to this place. Which led to meeting a pretty cool lady that loves and has dabbled in art herself, and guess what? her Nephew works in the industry that i am trying to get into and hopefully we get to meet up, how does that happen? Pretty cool i love people. Its more than just the painting sometimes. Peace out.

Today some good friends introduced me to, alum rock park. Though i've been there before to mountain bike, but this place is such a nice place to just paint at. The lighting was so nice and everywhere you turn is a perfect spot to just set up and paint.

I had to escape the heat of San Jose and run away to San Rafael which was still pretty HOT!! Not to worry i found a spot in the shade next to the water. which of course had the best composition i could find. I met up with Cameron and his paint group, which was pretty cool, got to meet some pretty awesome people, and got to see some of Marin's amazing landscapes!!! what more could you ask for?

i've always liked bridges and how the shapes and colors contrast with its surroundings. This place was by Oakridge mall where 85 aand 87 connect. Although the spot was nice there was tons of annoying kids walking by, from the transit system.

This in Japan town San Jose, it was a difficult at the start all the way to the end. The building itself was pretty cool run down looking and the building had been added onto a lot through time. Next time though no shorts, i think i burnt my leg.

This is some early character studies that I'm working on for my visual development class. This eventually will be the mentor of this story that takes place outer space. Pretty cool story this guy here carries all his tools with him all the time. He is old, shaky, and seems unable until u see him build. He is the engineer.
